India: U.S. Consulate in Mumbai is Reopening; Now Accepting all Visa Applications

June 14, 2021

Key Points

  • New appointments can be made through this link.
  • Appointments are very limited and spots fill up quickly, so monitoring this daily is advised.
  • Multiple states in India have travel restrictions, therefore you should consider checking if you are able to travel prior to booking an appointment.

The U.S. Consulate in Mumbai was closed and cancelled all visa appointments in Apr. and May of 2021. The consulate has announced it is reopening and that they will contact appointment holders who were affected by this to give instructions to continue processing their application.

Looking Forward

We anticipate that more appointment spots will become available. It is recommended to monitor appointment times daily.
