On Wednesday, July 19, 2017, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that it has returned all fiscal year 2018 H-1B cap petitions that were not selected in the lottery.

According to USCIS, if you submitted an H-1B cap petition between April 3 and April 7, 2017 but have not yet received a receipt notice or a returned petition by July 31, you may contact them directly. Alternatively, you may also contact your attorney for next steps if your petition was not selected.
