India: Tourist Visas Resume for Travelers on Chartered Flights

Overview

The government of India announced that, beginning Oct. 15, 2021, foreign nationals will be allowed to enter India on tourist visas if arriving through a chartered flight. All foreign nationals entering India via other means will be able to enter on tourist visas beginning Nov. 15, 2021. Individuals who enter India using a tourist visa will be required to register for a new visa.   

What are the Changes?  

Foreign nationals will be able to enter India on a tourist visa. Entrance times vary depending on the type of travel that the foreign national arrives through.  

Looking Ahead
