Envoy’s Tech Beat April: The Latest Feature Updates from Our Team

April 17, 2017 Britni Sehgal

Envoy is dedicated to bringing you the best support for your immigration needs. Aside from our strong customer service and proven track record of helping employers navigate the nuances of visa sponsorship, we pride ourselves on our innovative technology.

Read on to find out what’s new.

Customer Communication
This past February, we redesigned case notifications for customers which included a new case summary email that replaced more than 50 individual emails. We also revamped messaging on remaining individual emails to set better expectations, improved in-app messaging on notifications and introduced action items to help circumvent workflow bottlenecks.

In the first week of the release, we saw:

  • App sent 13,000 less emails
  • An increased level of interest in emails: both open and click rates improved

Workforce Planner
Last month, we rolled out enhancements to Workforce Planner, including:

  • Customer reports and action items for green cards based on company-specific eligibility rules
  • Building reports directly in the Envoy app to improve performance and flexibility
  • Green card cost projections

As a reminder, this innovative tool gives employers an end-to-end view of their current and future global immigration needs; provides a full employee census of all sponsored employees; helps employers understand upcoming visa renewals and Green Card cases; and allows you to easily track, manage and forecast budget.

Mobile App Updates
Last month, we had over 150 volunteers enroll within 48 hours to test our beta mobile app. Eighty-three of our users said that of all of the features we have built thus far, they found push notifications to be the most valuable.

The app, which is intended for individual employees, has undergone the following updates:

  • Improved Alerting
  • Expanded Document Library
  • Document-related Push Notifications

This month, we’re putting the finishing touches on our data capturing methods, getting direct feedback from existing beta users and getting ready to submit the app to the Apple and Android stores.

Next steps include improved customer communication for Dependent Cases and redesigning a new and improved case timeline.

Last month, we were building our beta product for Compliance, which we will release to a select group of clients for testing and feedback.

Highlights include:

  • Compliance Audit Report
  • New online home for public access files

We plan on rolling out the beta version to customers starting this week and will explore including location tracking features.

Pro-tip: You can now save your company’s green card policy in the Envoy app so you’ll get reminders in Workforce Planner to open green cards based on those settings. Contact your Customer Relationship Manager, who can help.
